The Easter Bunny Meets the Tooth Fairy

We're in the middle of a week of many holidays and that definitely effects us here at Hamlin Dental Group. Passover continues through the week, today is Good Friday, and Sunday, of course, is Easter. That means a lot of folks on spring break are taking care of teeth issues, while others are avoiding us and trying to get on with their holiday plans.

If you're a dentist in Northridge, Van Nuys, and especially North Hollywood, we're often serving two masters around this time of year. Our image-conscious patients want to look as good as possible for both holiday and career-related events, but no one wants to be in recovery from a significant procedure on the day when all the chocolate bunnies come out to play, and nobody who attends a Seder want to skip the sweet and sticky Charoset that is a traditional part of Passover.

All of that, strangely enough, brings us to Lady Gaga -- perhaps not the first person you'd necessarily think of in connection with any of the holidays this week. Though pretty clearly not a traditionalist, it appears she had a reasonably strong Catholic upbringing and therefore may be foregoing some traditional Easter treats this Sunday due to her recovery from the pre-tour removal of wisdom teeth, which she documented with a selfie sent out on her Twitter feed.

While we have no objection to holiday treats as long as they're followed by proper dental hygiene, we have to admire the 28 year-old Ms. Gaga for putting her teeth before her tour and any Easter food-frivolity she might have otherwise been planning. Sometimes, the Tooth Fairy has to take precedence.
